Vivek Samu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT
Madras. He completed his B.Tech. from NIT Trichy and his M.S. and Ph.D. from North
Carolina State University, USA. He broadly works on Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE)
of civil infrastructure through wave propagation-based methodologies. His research
focusses on the improvement of existing techniques and development of new and
simplified NDE methodologies for quality assurance and condition monitoring through
efficient computational modelling, optimal sensing, automation, and inversion
techniques.
