Dr. G. R. Dodagoudar is a professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai since 2002. He obtained M.Tech. degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai in 1995 and Doctoral degree also from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering in 2001. He has one year of experience in the industry and eighteen years of experience in Research and Teaching. He has guided 17 Ph.D. Students, 7 M.S students and 20 M.Tech students so far and is presently guiding 9 Ph.D. students and one M.S student. He has published 59 papers in international journals and 42 papers in national journals and has presented more than 120 papers in proceedings of conferences. He has written one 'book' and two monographs. He is very active in continuing education programs, and delivers lectures and motivating talks to students, academicians, and working professionals across the country.
