Prof. Karthik K. Srinivasan is a Professor in the transportation group of the Department of Civil Engineering, at IIT Madras. He obtained his doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin, M.S degree from the University of California at Davis. He completed his Undergraduate degree at IIT Madras. His current research interests and expertise are in the areas of travel behaviour modelling, ITS technologies, connected and emerging technologies for sustainable transport futures and network optimization. He has published over 100 research articles in journals, international conferences and book chapters in these areas. He has been PI or Co-PI on many high value sponsored research and consultancy projects sponsored by DST, MHRD, MoUD, MeITY, NSF. He is an editorial board member for Transportation in Developing Economies, member of DST PAC on Civil Engineering and was also a member of the U.S. National Academies’ Transportation Research Board (TRB) committee on Transportation Demand Forecasting (ADB 40).
