Micro Analytical Characterization of Cement and Engineering Materials

The MACCEM laboratory is equipped with Isothermal calorimeter, Mercury intrusion porosimeter, Scanning electron microscope and other facilities, enabling us to study the hydration and development of microstructure in a cementitious system.The knowledge of microstructure can help in understanding the performance and properties of concrete at a macro scale. The information obtained at the microscale can also help understand the processes and mechanism affecting the macroscale properties.
